Payroll HR Administrator – Vaughan – 18 Month Contract

Summary

JELD-WEN is seeking an experienced Payroll Admin Technician that will be an integral part of our local HR team. The incumbent will work closely with all production and support departments in Toronto to facilitate, perform, and action HR protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in similar roles with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and meeting customer needs through delivered best in class HR service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that payroll is completed accurately and on time
  • Update the in-house payroll system (TITAN) and run reports as required
  • Work closely with Plant Supervisors, HR Team, Payroll Team in Winnipeg and Finance/Accounting
  • Pro-active review and management of Temp Labour force activities, invoices and vendors
  • Submit payroll information to Corporate on a bi-weekly basis ensuring that all timelines and information deadlines are met as outlined.
  • Assist HR Generalist as required
  • Booking and arranging interviews and internal meetings for the HR Team
  • Print, organize and distribute pay stubs to all Managers – automation in April of 2020
  • Management of Electronic Employee Files

· Ensure payroll time tickets and information is gathered and entered correctly

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Microsoft and PowerPoint
  • ESA knowledge, Recruitment Skills
  • Completion of HR or Payroll courses
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in HR, Payroll, Recruiting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • ADP Payroll experience preferred – Transitioning to ADP April 1 2020
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work deferred hours on occasion (12- 8 pm once a week)
  • Solutions oriented, results-driven and career oriented
  • Possess the ability to cultivate strong working relationships with Managers & Employees
  • Flexibility to ensure that time sensitive information and tasks are completed
  • Confidentiality of information is essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently as required
