Assistant Controller

PURPOSE:

This position will act as an assistant controller at the Pangeo Group level to ensure financial reporting and internal audit are carried out in accordance to Company guidelines, with a focus on two of our production divisions

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Assistant Controller will provide support on the following:

· Oversee the completion of all reconciliations, billing, collections, and financial reporting functions for two of our production divisions

· Lead the month end closing process for the two divisions, including the preparation of month end journal entries and reconcile monthly inter-company transactions

· Assist the Year End closing process and lead Year End Inventory and Fixed Assets counts

· Participate in the annual budget and forecast preparation

· Supervision of internal audits and Compliance reporting of internal audit results

· Follow-up with operations of non-compliance issues in regard to internal audits

· Prepare financial statements of various holding companies

· Assist controllers at various divisions during external audits

· Travel to divisions as requested

· Business KPI, scorecard and financial analysis

· Other duties and projects as assigned.

· Interact with operational business leaders on performance matters

· Keep current on accounting and business topics and knowledge

· Adhere to the 5S Philosophy

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Business Degree or equivalent

· Designation or equivalent experience

· Experience in areas such as: audit, corporate financial reporting, product valuation methods, month-end closing procedures, year-end closing procedures, external audit preparation.

· Self-motivated

· Knowledge of business KPI measurements

· Experienced user of spreadsheets, powerpoint, word applications

· Experience in developing business plans

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Training Type: Salaried Orientation (including WHMIS and ISO/TS16949/ISO14001 Overview)
