Overview of the opportunity:
Our Global Infrastructure Advisory team is looking for a Senior Advisor or Manager (depending on the candidate’s experience) in procurement for its Montreal office. Our team adds value to our clients by helping them understand and manage associated risks. We advise on major capital projects for both the public (federal, provincial and municipal) and private sectors in a variety of industries, including transportation (rail, airports, ports, roads and urban transit), energy and utilities, mining, oil and gas, water and wastewater. We assist clients in a myriad of infrastructure-related advisory services including responding to alternative delivery opportunities through proposal assistance, procurement, contractual management, funding competitions, capital markets, governance, etc.
What you will do:
As a Senior Advisor, you will assist the Senior Managers and be responsible for the following:
Provide clients with advice regarding:
Procurement strategy development.
Drafting of RFP documents for major infrastructure projects.
Procurement process management (from RFP document development to the closing of the procurement process, including the process of bilateral workshops with the market).
Development of commercial terms in RFP documents and project contracts.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams (legal, financial and/or technical).
Structure the commercial sections of complex contracts.
Support the senior management team with business development in Montreal and Quebec City in both public and private sector markets.
Manage and actively participate in business development activities related to infrastructure projects.
Train and mentor junior staff and contribute to the overall skills enhancement and experience of the team.
What you bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or engineering.
4–8 years of experience in infrastructure procurement in the public and/or private sectors.
Proven experience with a few infrastructure procurement projects in which you played a significant role.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) (preferred but not required).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
One or more additional certifications, including financial and/or project management (an asset).
Strong experience in transportation, particularly rail (an asset).
