Role Level: CUPE Grade 9 - $28.657- $30.669 per hour
Department: Emergency Department
Site: Credit Valley Hospital
Shift:Available 12 hour shifts; Days/Night Shift rotations, and weekends

Candidate will be a diploma graduate of a recognized college or school of nursing or equivalent (i.e., certificate RPN with added courses in medication administration, phlebotomy, and health assessment)
Current certification or eligibility for certification of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required
One year of ED experience required; consolidation of skills in an ED may be considered
A physical assessment course preferred
Demonstrates initiative and the ability to function both independently and as a multidisciplinary team member in a fast paced demanding environment
Demonstrates knowledge, experience and the ability to care for patients with the following: initiation and maintenance of IV therapy, administration of medication above the drip chamber, blood and blood product administration, blood glucose monitoring, nasogastric tubes, wound management skills, routine infection control practices, normal and abnormal blood values
Demonstrates knowledge of patient and family-centered care and therapeutic relationships
Evidence of on-going professional development
Paediatric experience an asset
Demonstrates excellence in communication skills and team work
Computer literacy required
A positive work and attendance record is essential
