We are currently looking for an Manager of Accounting to join our team and help us continue to deliver on our mission.

The role:
Working with the Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient delivery of financial reporting.

You will do this through managing the accounting processes ensuring compliance with legislation and accounting principles while confirming best practices are implemented and followed.

You will lead your team in a collaborative fashion and ensure all functional areas including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts, and General Accounting are working cohesively to deliver on the department’s objectives.

You will also liaise and work with the auditors during annual and ad hoc financial audit. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of the annual budget process for Swish Canada.

You are comfortable wearing many hats. This role will focus on managing the accounting process using a collaborative approach. You will be leading, guiding and motivating your team to deliver on the department objectives, assisting where necessary.

Attention to detail. You are very detail oriented and understand the importance of accuracy. You will ensure all reporting is accurate and that all necessary processes are in place to maintain the integrity of system data.

You enjoy helping others. As a manager, you will draw on your knowledge and experience to provide guidance and act as a resource to your team. You will also partner with other departments to ensure you are providing seamless, best in class service.

You can build effective partnerships with various levels of stakeholders and are comfortable delivering presentations to executives and department leads.

Education and Experience Required

You posses a professional designation (CA, CMA, of CGA)

You have 5 or more years of experience in preparing financial statements and analyzing and interpreting financial information. You also have experience with preparing year-end statements and liaising with financial auditors.

You have an expert level proficiency with Excel and have experience with computerized financial systems.

You have experience leading and coaching a team in a collaborative environment.
