Position Summary:
Functioning within a consultation model, provides psychological services to patients at Providence Care

Hospital through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

The ultimate goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of functional independence and to minimize

disability during their hospital admission.

Education & Experience:
Doctoral level degree in

neuropsychology

Holds a Certificate of

Registration Authorizing

Autonomous Practice with the

College of Psychologists of

Ontario or eligible for

Certificate of Registration

Minimum 2 years related

experience in provision of

neuropsychological

assessment and treatment

planning

Experience in provision of

group psychotherapy, an asset

Current or eligible for clinical

supervisor/adjunct status at

Queen’s University

 Demonstrated ability to prioritize work effectively, manage a full
workload and meet deadlines in a busy environment with frequent

interruptions

 Demonstrated effectiveness in diagnosis, evaluation and assessment of
cognitive behavioural and psychological conditions

 Demonstrated effectiveness in providing interventions to individuals
and groups, including psycho-education, behaviour programs and

psychotherapy

 Demonstrated effectiveness in the design, implementation and
direction of neurobehavioral assessment and strategies

 Demonstrated effectiveness in identifying and analysing issues that
arise in relation to the client, making recommendations and

communicating with the inter-disciplinary team on solutions

 Demonstrated alignment to patient and family-centred care
 Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, written and verbal

communication skills including, ability to communicate in a timely

manner and according to organization policy

 Demonstrated professional demeanour and behaviour
 Demonstrated knowledge of relevant ethical, legal and professional

issues

 Demonstrated understanding and commitment to health and safety
policies, procedures and applicable legislation

 Demonstrated willingness to learn and acquire new skills
 Demonstrated good physical condition to meet the physical demands of

the position

 Bilingual in French and English language, preferred
