Premier Montessori is looking to hire a full-time Infant/Toddler Early Childhood Assistant in our IT Classroom for 12mth - 3year olds (AMI Assistant credentials is a plus) to work at our Ironwood location. We are looking for a calm, warm, and consistent caregiver to work collaboratively with a team of educators, parents, and children. Support the lessons and work of the Lead Guide by organizing and making materials, cleaning and sanitizing, redirecting and monitoring students during work and play, and guiding children through independent lessons, as directed by the Lead Guide and the Montessori Philosophy.
Responsibilities may include:
- Protect the lessons from interruption;
- Refer to teacher’s record of lessons given when redirecting children to work; Observe the children and pass along information to the teacher as appropriate;
- Observe particular child and keep notes as requested by the teacher;
- Direct parents to communicate with teacher;
- Inform children of ground rules;
- Give gentle reminders about the grace and courtesy lessons;
- Stop inappropriate behavior;
- Keep the room clean, neat and attractive;
- Make materials and repair materials;
- Present a professional appearance;

Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education (ECE-A) Assistant Certificate- Required
- AMI Montessori Infant/Toddler Assistants certificate - Preferred
- Valid Emergency First Aid & CPR-C Certification required
- Additional courses/training related to child growth and development an asset
