Lead Engineer - Mechanical

In your day-to-day tasks you will have to :

  • Perform the design and detailed engineering of industrial projects
  • Establish the design basis and develop concepts
  • Size and select equipment
  • Estimate project costs
  • Establish and define the technical standards required for the project
  • Prepare specification lists
  • Prepare and seal specifications, drawings, and bidding documents
  • Coordinate the mechanical activities as the Mechanical Lead
  • Ensure that junior engineers are on track and review their work


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Member of the Quebec order of engineers (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)) or of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
  • 5 to 15 years of experience in heavy industry
  • Bilingual: French & English (spoken and written)
  • Experienced in pressure piping and ASME Code
  • Available to travel outside of Quebec for short periods of time (usually 1 week per 2-month period)
