Job Description:
The Treasury Analyst is responsible for reconciling bank and deposit accounts, analyze accruals, prepayments and other accounts and assist store operations in its banking requirements. This person needs to have strong accounting skills, ideally holds a CPA designation or working towards obtaining their CPA.

Job Duties:
  • Prepares cash management transaction entries from online bank statements into the ERP system (MS NAV)
  • Analyzes prepayments and accruals of selected expense accounts including insurance, bank charges and interest
  • Reconciles corporate and store bank accounts as well as credit card clearing accounts
  • Prepares periodic and annual schedules for certain asset and liability accounts
  • Investigates Enhanced Positive Pay cheque exceptions where applicable and recommend corrective actions where necessary
  • Reviews ACH exceptions and resolves any issues
  • Assists Manager in corporate credit card administration
  • Investigates cheque clearing and initiates stop payments as requested
  • Liaise with banking partners and store operations team on issues related to banking requirements/services
  • Assists in resolving cash reconciliation questions or issues as necessary
  • Provide stores with necessary banking supplies
  • Maintain banking relationships as necessary
Education

University Degree in Accounting

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Treasury/Cash Management in a medium-to-large retail organization.
  • Must have strong experience with reconciliation of multiple bank accounts and credit card accounts
  • Experience with US banking not necessary but desirable
