Primary responsibility is to support the URS Financial Planning, Reporting & Analyst in line with Thales policies and procedures. Financial reporting & analysis is conducted for both the Canada Transport domain (TCTS) and the Urban Rail Business Line (URS)
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility
Participate to the monthly closing within the group and deliver a complete analysis of financial results (P&L, Order Intake and OCF), within the deadlines requested
Produce the TCTS monthly reporting package on a timely basis including variance analysis (actual vs budget and vs forecast) in liaison with Operational finance team and Finance shared service team.
Builds budgets and forecasts of future company performance with involvement in the SBP (Strategic business plan), Multi Year Budget (MYB) and forecast process as well as preparing presentations and analysis.
Working with Project cost controllers and Finance shared service team to prepare accurate and realistic rolling forecasts and risks and opportunities analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis for use in Corporate reporting and Business Operation Reviews (BOR’s)
Performs ad hoc analysis for executives as required
Support to Business Development team for Sitcom analysis and OI/GMOI reporting.
Interface with GBU Finance reporting team.
Support reporting requirements in Magnitude (Thales reporting tool) with Country finance shared service team (FSS)
Multi-currency reporting and analysis for BL level
Prepare Project consolidated reporting for management
Recommend, develop, and implement changes in financial planning, analysis and reporting to enhance operational efficiency and potential opportunities with Microsoft Power BI
Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language
Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
Previous experience with Microsoft Power BI is an asset
Experience with corporate reporting in a fast-paced, multinational environment
Sound initiative and ability to work in a team
ERP experience – SAP preferred
Fluency in English is mandatory. Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
