To support the company’s significant growth, an exciting opportunity is available within Starlight’s Development and Construction, Canadian Multi-Family group.

The Opportunity – Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator will work closely with the Development Team on a range of new development projects, including low-rise and high-rise residential and mixed-use developments in a variety of municipal contexts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with (i) the due diligence, feasibility analysis and determination of development potential and (ii) investigation of existing permissions on subject sites by collecting pertinent policy (OP, Zoning By-law, Provincial Policy docs, Fee schedules, municipal by-laws, etc.), surrounding applications and locational information;
  • Assist in the preparation and tracking of Request for Proposals and provide comparative analysis on submitted proposals as needed;
  • Assist with the organization and coordination of external community and tenant meetings;
  • Track various development agreements with municipalities and external agencies;
  • Review and manage the release of Letters of Credit and other development related securities;
  • Review technical drawings and reports prior to submission to the municipality and agency for completeness and to ensure specified criteria are being addressed;
  • Summarize reports and policies at the request of the Development team;
  • Assist with project related presentations, printing, file management and file sharing including Sharepoint;
  • Attend meetings and produce agenda and minutes including action items for timely circulation to the project team;
  • Assist with the maintenance of project schedules and updates to projected timelines;
  • Assist with the delivery and pick up of plans, permits.


The successful candidate will possess a university degree in Engineering, Planning or a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ related development experience; organizational and time management skills and knowledge of Microsoft Project. A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle is preferable.
