As an expert administrative advisor, you assist with highly complex strategic initiatives and serve as subject matter leader. You lead and influence large-scale organizational and market initiatives while liaising with stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges. In addition to being the business manager, you represent your specialty on initiatives requiring high-level expertise in a complex field.
You’re responsible for strategic, highly innovative, cross-sector projects and initiatives that are operationally and conceptually complex. They require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. A strategic mindset and organizational savvy are therefore essential. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in a wide range of other fields.
You serve as expert advisor and subject matter expert for senior management and decision-making bodies. You represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with external partners.
Monitor strategic files taken on by the Office of the Chief Treasurer of Desjardins Group. Have a full grasp of the context and environment in which these files are expected to evolve. Understand the strategic issues and carry out valuable analyses to help achieve strategic plan objectives.
Participate in the analysis of ad-hoc files entrusted to the Office of the Chief Treasurer of Desjardins Group. Demonstrate creativity and open-mindedness while maintaining smooth internal relationships and respecting the prerogatives of Desjardins Group business sectors and functions.
Analyze strategic files and serve as the sole interface between directors and external advisors to better understand their business context, needs and challenges, with an eye to delivering value-added services to support the achievement of the unit’s business objectives.
Represent the Office of the Chief Treasurer of Desjardins Group in the various phases needed to deliver awaited projects—such as programs, policies, processes or business practices—from inception to delivery.
Be responsible for files that require solid and extensive expertise as well as vast knowledge of the various disciplines specific to the field.
Participate or collaborate in the assessment of the unit’s overall performance and development, and implement improvements relating to its area of expertise.
Assume the secretary role for the Desjardins Group Asset-Liability Committee.

Bachelor’s degree in finance
A minimum of eight year of relevant experience
Experience playing an influential role with senior management
Experience with executive-level presentations (ability to summarize information and strong communication skills)
Experience working in project mode within a large-scale organization
