Reporting to the Clinical Co-ordinator this position provides all aspects of housekeeping services for the Withdrawal Management Services, including cleaning, laundry, minor maintenance and repairs, and garbage collection and removal. Performs a variety of general cleaning and service functions.
Education, Training And Experience
Building Service Worker Certificate.
Certification in CPR, First Aid.
Certification in Non-Violet Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within three (3) months of employment.
Knowledge of Infection Control cleaning procedures for a diverse and health compromised population.
Or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills And Abilities
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to operate related equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Ability to deal with addicted and mentally ill clients and their families.
Ability to organize and complete work within established timeframes.
Ability to apply situation appropriate cleaning techniques.
