The IT Service Management Administrative Department is currently seeking an IT Governance Advisor to join its team! Are you known for your ability to analyze and summarize information and for your critical thinking and priority management skills? Do you have great interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with ambiguity? Don’t wait, this opportunity is for you!

As IT Governance Advisor, you will provide IT governance support and assistance for various IT service management processes (management of incidents, issues, change, monitoring and events, capacity and performance).

You will advise dedicated clients and partners as part of various significant intervention and development initiatives in your field. You will propose solutions for improving or optimizing standards, policies and programs. The nature of the initiatives and projects will require extensive expertise in your field.

You will develop recommendations, solutions and action plans in line with the organization’s orientations and objectives. You will help solve complex problems. This will require close analysis and an in-depth understanding of the line of business. Coordination is critical, and you will frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Highly developed interpersonal skills will therefore be essential.

You will serve as a resource person in your field for your unit, clients and partners.

Main Responsibilities

Follow up as needed to solve more complex or unusual problems. Develop objectives, solutions and action plans, and help with their implementation.
Ensure that communities of practice observe cross-sector processes.
Develop processes in line with IT management best practices.
Develop cross-sector process alignments.
Ensure continuous alignment with the Desjardins Group ecosystem.
Measure process performance by implementing relevant indicators.
Evaluate improvement opportunities and make recommendations.
Upgrade training levels.

Workplace: Montréal or Lévis according to the candidate's preference

Qualifications

College diploma
A minimum of three year of relevant experience

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

ITIL V4 certification (an asset)
For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

Knowledge of process analysis
Knowledge of continuous improvement
Knowledge of data management and dashboard production
Knowledge of IT operations processes (management of incidents, issues, changes, monitoring and capacity)
Solid understanding of the tools associated with IT service management processes (ITSM)
