Specialist, Benefits and Human Resources Information System (HRIS)

Reporting to the Director, Employee Relations and OHS, you are responsible to administer the benefits programs including the pension plan and coordinate activities linked to absence management and disability. You are the expert responsible for the optimization and continuous improvement of processes and applications of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). You are also responsible to ensure the data integrity, the operation and administration of the system while offering support to users.

Minimum of 5 (five) years of relevant experience:

  • In a similar position (in a unionized environment);
  • Administration and interpretation of benefits plan coverage;
  • Leave and attendance management.

Knowledge of:

  • Advance skills with Microsoft Office Suite and experience in using a HRIS and an on-line benefits administration systems;
  • Pension and benefits practices and trends;
  • Federal and Provincial legislations in the related field;
  • Collective Agreements provisions related to area of expertise.

Education: University Degree in Human Resources or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A professional designation in a related field to the position is considered an asset.

Salary: $61,787.00 to $84,640.00 /year
