Summary: The Masks and Filters Product Manager is directly responsible for supervising all aspects of protective mask/filter business activities including marketing, sales, configuration control, production, product improvement, and strategic planning. All Product Manager work activities require close coordination across all company functional areas including Business Development, Program Management, Finance, Contracts/Export, and Sustainment as well as the firm’s senior leadership team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Product Strategy

· Execute recurring market research on competitive solutions

· Analyze markets and identifying target market segments

· Work with Business Development team to inform sales efforts

o Media, presentations, literature, etc.

o Messaging, pricing strategies, and unique selling points

· Develop and execute marketing campaigns

o Social media strategy

o Customer demonstrations

o Exhibitions, seminars, consortiums

o Press releases

· Submit and manage product entries in government technology experiments

· Work with Contracts/Export team to develop export strategy

System Engineering & Product Growth

· Identify and inform customer requirements for product growth

· Develop a long-term product/technology growth roadmap

o IP strategy

o Product improvement efforts

o Marketing strategy and positioning

· Establish partnerships with emerging technology providers

· Collaborate with manufacturing partners and critical suppliers

o Pricing strategies

o Spares/sustainment strategies

o Expectation management

· Introduce Engineering Change Proposals and system upgrade concepts

· Align internal/external funding with product growth goals

o Return on investment analyses

o Cooperative development opportunities

o Allocation and prioritization of internal development funds

· Manage product development/improvement projects

o Planning/scheduling

o Impact analyses

o Design reviews

o Reporting

o Budgeting

Capture Management

· Interface with customers as the company’s product subject matter expert

· Manage bid and proposal efforts

· Work with Program Management team to transition opportunities to contract

· Work with Integrated Logistics and Sustainment team to:

o Secure subcontractor agreements and pricing models

o Develop training plans, work instructions, and support documentation

o Implement maintenance and sustainment plans

Qualifications:

· 4-year undergraduate degree (engineering or business degree preferred)

o Focus on design and system integration

o Post-graduate education desired

· 5-years of Product management experience

o Experience maturing product line through strategic coordination with technical, sales, and customer stakeholders

o Experience with respiratory protection equipment for military, industrial, or healthcare applications

· Positive professional attitude; small business approach to work

o Bilingual candidate desired; French and English

o Promotes a trusting and collaborative relationship with customers, technology partners, and key suppliers

o Uses frequent, clear, and concise communication with subordinates, managers, and peers

o Exercises effective critical thinking and decision making

o Comfortable with periodic ambiguity and work activities outside stated role

o Willingness to travel at up to two weeks per month to domestic/foreign program offices, military installations, and supplier facilities
