The Infrastructure & Project Finance team helps public and private sector clients finance, deliver and operate projects in a cost effective and efficient fashion. As part of our team, you’ll help our client with procurement strategies, project structuring, financing and negotiations.

Job Description & Summary:
Our practice has an excellent track record, both in Canada (offices in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver) and worldwide, with more than 30 years of experience in providing advanced advisory services to public and private sector infrastructure projects.
As a Senior Associate, you will advise the management of public and private entities on the conduct of complex projects or investments. Your functions will include the financial analysis of infrastructure projects, assisting in the preparation of procurement strategies and processes, financial bid evaluation, negotiation of commercial agreements and other advisory services related to best practices in the field of capital and infrastructure projects.
What it’s like to work in the PwC Capital Projects & Infrastructure practice
A highly collaborative team environment on projects across Canada;
Meetings with clients to understand their views, needs, and services to be provided in connection with a potential project or investment;
An important role in projects and transactions, liaising with other external advisers (lawyers, engineers, etc.) and a wide variety of stakeholders;
The analysis of every dimension of a capital or infrastructure project, including its risks and potential delivery methods; and
A long-term relationship with client personnel through the various stages of large-scale projects.
Draft reports and information documents of a financial nature, business cases and analyses related to various procurement methods;
Participate in the preparation of proposals;
Take part in the development of complex financial models;
Develop a holistic understanding of the process of strategic planning, procurement and financial structuring of capital and infrastructure projects;
Develop an in-depth understanding of various sectors such as transportation, health, energy;
Liaise between PwC and client’s teams;
Understand and assess client needs to provide them with information essential to making informed decisions;
Advise clients on best practices in the management of capital and infrastructure projects, and support them in the implementation of these recommendations; and
Contribute to the development of the CP&I practice and the PwC brand.
An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.
At least two years of relevant professional experience, in major capital projects and infrastructure;
Complete fluency in French and English;
Strong communication, presentation and writing skills, including the ability to understand and effectively summarize complex documents;
Proven technical and analytical capabilities including proven financial analysis and financial modelling skills (applied to infrastructure and/or energy projects);
Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment;
Confidence, desire and ability to learn all aspects of infrastructure sectors in a short timeframe;
A taste for teamwork, on complex and often demanding projects;
A university degree in a relevant discipline (business, accounting, finance, procurement, law, engineering, political science, etc.);
A professional designation (or an interest in pursuing it) in finance (CFA, CBV) or in project management (PMP) will be considered an asset.
This position does not support the path leading to the Canadian CPA title.
