The Field Recruiter is accountable to prospect, attract and hire prospective Drivers within their geographic region. This role is responsible for the recruiting of both Linehaul and Pick Up and Delivery requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will be expected to complete the following (not an exhaustive list of responsibilities):
Achieve and exceed assigned new hire goals within your targeted geographic territory.
Maintain productivity standards; be focused and dedicated to uncovering and developing a high value-add applicants by conducting interviews and following screening process.
Provide effective and innovative recruiting and sourcing solutions.
Explore new opportunities in order to locate new streams of applicants; truck shows, truck stops, conferences, networking events and grass roots campaigns.
Coordinate and host job fairs in your geographic region(s).
Research, identify and establish business relationships with recruitment sources and local communities.
Research and gain an understanding of the drivers’ industry, challenges and needs.
Maintain an out-going “hunter” personality with the desire to develop in the Recruiting field.
Maintain long-term and short-term funnel of applicants.
Additional duties and responsibilities as directed.
To be qualified for this role, you must clearly exhibit some or all of the following:
Education and Training
Minimum of secondary education, with preference of post-secondary education, or a combination of education and experience.
A minimum of two years’ of sales or recruiting experience, within the transportation industry would be an asset but not a requirement. A suitable combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Advanced communication skills, verbal and written.
Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision are essential.
Ability to work independently is imperative.
Professional, responsive, and a positive work attitude.
Ability to travel.
English, other languages an asset
A willingness to travel up to 50% is a requirement for this position.
