Our client, a construction company who specializes in road maintenance is currently looking to hire an Estimator/ Project Coordinator to join their tem.
This candidate will be brought on to help us grow their business, improve on existing relationships and provide their clients a smooth experience. They are looking for someone who can handle projects from beginning to end.
Calculate various statistical data - quantity take offs from drawings, specifications, addendum's, material price list, labour cost per man hour.
Review construction specifications, project plans and other contract documents for an understanding of the tender submission.
Update and maintain project list.Prepare and submit tenders and bids.
Project Coordinator - Responsibilities:
Work closely with customers and project management team.Ensure project deadlines, budget, and quality of work is performed to company standards.Prepare and submit contract start up and close out documents.Build and develop relationships with existing and new customers.Participate in project meetings, review schedules and prepare reports.Assist management with projects from pre-bid pricing to post construction analysis.
Ability to do "take offs"Strong multitasker.
Solid communication skills - written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft (word,excel, outlook) as well as Dropbox and Adobe Acrobat
Strong in decision making
Ability to read blueprints, to properly measure areas of work needed
Strong organizational skills
A "can do" attitude
Excellent interpersonal skills
Punctual and pays attention to detail
Proven track record of successful project completions
G Licence required, as mobility is essential in the role.
