Reporting to the Sr Manager, Data Architecture and Tools, the Manager Geospatial Developer will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of end-to-end geospatial solutions for the enterprise business unit. The position requires an advanced understanding of geospatial technologies and extensive experience working with large spatial databases. The successful candidate must have an unwavering attention to detail, an insatiable desire to find answers, tolerance for data ambiguity, and a proven track record of working with large, complex datasets within a geospatial framework.

What You Will Be Doing:
Develop and maintain a web mapping application (MapGuide Open Source and PHP)
Develop geospatial processes to enable end-user spatial insights
Assist in network planning activities as it relates to network expansion
Leverage geospatial analysis to find actionable, value-added solutions to drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
Support Rogers for Business (R4B) analytical development priorities, acting as a liaison between the team and various cross-functional teams
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and create hybrid datasets as necessary
Filter, clean and transform data into information, insight, and actionable business decisions using geospatial ETL tools
Develop and manage proof of concepts (POCs) that illustrate and test solutions
Track project progress and communicate results with stakeholders
Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide recommendations and insight

What You Bring:
Post-secondary education in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, Computer Science or Geographic Sciences
At least 5-10 years in a similar role
Advanced knowledge of GIS software
Web development expertise using HTML, PHP, Javascript/JQuery, CSS, etc.
Expertise using web mapping applications like MapGuide Open Source
Advanced knowledge of geospatial ETL software; e.g., FME
Experience configuring and customizing Web Applications
Highly refined analytical, and programming skills
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Must have proficiency in SQL and experience working with Oracle
Excellent written and oral communication
Solid relationship building and influencing skills, with a proven ability to work within a team
Self-starter with proven organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Exceptional planning and project management skills
Strong sense of ownership, drive and desire
