Job Description:
- Developing and implementing early learning programs for children ranging from 0 to 6 years of age.
- Following/Implementing an emergent curriculum incorporating ELECT framework and Aboriginal framework.
- Delivering early learning services to parents and children, such as literacy and interactive learning activities, to help ensure that children are ready to learn and to make it easier for them to transition to school.
- Planning, developing, and implementing programs that contain stimulating activities for preschool/kindergarten, toddler children, including field trips.
- Promoting physical, social, emotional, and intellectual well-being in all activities.
- Providing support to children in their daily routines.
- Providing supportive service to families and their children.
- Maintaining accurate reporting, statistical data, and documentation of children’s development and interactions.
- Communicating daily with colleagues and parents.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Assisting with classroom housekeeping.
- Completing general administrative tasks, such as playground inspections, fire drills, and health and sanitizing reports.
- Ensuring that the legislated health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
Qualification:
.Early Childhood Assistant Course Or Early Childhood Educator Diploma.
. RECE License if you are ECE.
· Knowledge of ELECT documents and How Does Learning Happen?
· Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
· Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C
· Up to date Immunization Health Screening/Record (as per CCEYA guidelines)
· Self-starter with high energy, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to multi-task
· Experience working collaboratively as part of a team
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Strong oral, written and computer skills
Additional Assets

Cook Position:
The cook is responsible for duties relating to the purchasing, preparation and serving of snacks and meals.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Duties will include but are not limited to the following…
- Preparing snacks and lunch for toddlers and Pre-K children, up to 140 children. Number of children at the time of hiring will be less but 140 is the capacity of the center.
- Ability to cook meals and bake from scratch.
- Must be able to make lunch accommodating dietary restrictions and allergies.
- Has a large knowledge on kitchen preparation with first in, first out.
- Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and sanitary at all times, washing snack and lunch dishes, cups, cutlery, containers etc.
- Setting up bins for snacks and lunch.
- Maintaining proper temperatures of food and keeping a log.
- Being flexible and open to change.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Works with a positive attitude and as a team player.
- Have the physical stamina and ability to kneel, bend, lift and stand for extended periods.
- Weekly Grocery Shopping. Ability to operate standard kitchen appliances. Knowledge of Canada’s Food Guide.
- Help as ECA and also with cleaning the classrooms when required.
