The Technology, Banking Services Division is in charge of developing payment, financing, caisse and ATM solutions.

As an intern, you will contribute to IT efficiency. You will design, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade IT solutions in keeping with the organization’s needs.

You will be part of a dynamic squad made up of colleagues with diverse expertise (solutions architects, senior programmer analysts, etc.), carrying out projects to support the digital shift. Recent examples include using augmented reality for our statements, integrating robotics into ATM testing and modernizing our rapid deployment applications.

Throughout the internship, the intern will be supervised and benefit from a mentoring system led by a senior advisor.

Intern – Programmer Analyst (based on the programming language of your choice, e.g. Java, Cobol, etc.)

The intern will actively participate in developing the achievement strategy, analysis and design, coding, testing, documenting, and delivery of programs and/or applications in accordance with Desjardins’ methods and standards.

Intern – Quality Assurance Software Analyst

The quality assurance intern will be responsible for identifying test scenarios (unit, functional, system, non-regression), implementing the environment, executing scenarios, and communicating results.

Intern – Project Controls

The intern will help an experienced project control officer plan and monitor activities. The intern will help identify and implement solutions to improve project monitoring and efficiency.

Intern – Scrum Master

The Scrum Master will actively participate in carrying out the feasibility analysis of the project, defining action plans and coordinating the contributors involved. As an Agile methodology expert, the intern will guide the team’s activities (daily scrum, sprint review, feedback, etc.).

Other working conditions

Work location: Montreal, Gatineau, Lévis, Joliette or St-Lambert, depending on the preference of the candidates selected and the number of spots available
Internship for the Fall 2020 term (14–17 weeks, 35 hours/week, depending on the conditions of your school)
Compensation: Competitive with the market and commensurate with the level of education completed
Possibility of being hired at the end of the internship


This internship must be credited/certified by your educational institution to earn a diploma of college studies, bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in an appropriate discipline.
Relevant work experience (an asset)

Specific knowledge

Knowledge of the following languages and technical environments: Java, API (Web) / JSON, PaaS (PCF) microservices, Microsoft Azure, Angular, Eclipse, Spring Boot 2.X, dbPaaS (Microsoft Azure SQL, MongoDB), Junit, HP Quality Center, SonarQube, Jira, mobile platforms (IOS, Android), Python (depending on the area), Cobol (depending on the area), Office 365, SharePoint and Concept DevOps (an asset)
