About the Team
PetSmart’s Canadian Home Office (CHO) is home to approximately 50 full-time associates who work in departments such as Human Resources, Merchandise Buying and Pricing, Replenishment, Marketing, Finance, Space Planning and more. The small but mighty team at the CHO supports the operations of 140+ PetSmart stores in Canada and works closely with counterparts at PetSmart’s global corporate headquarters located in Phoenix, Arizona. We also share the Canadian home office with our colleagues at PetSmart Charities of Canada—an independent, registered charity dedicated to reducing pet homelessness and supporting the bond between people and pets.
About the Job
The Digital E-Commerce Analyst is responsible for providing timely, actionable reporting with analysis that elevates online strategies, and maximizing the site experience to increase conversion and drive online sales. This role will leverage Commerce Cloud, Google Analytics and internal reporting to deliver insights, lead the optimization of onsite search & product merchandising and create reporting on tactic results. This position will work closely with Buying, Customer Experience, Supply Chain & Operations to enhance online product information and identify fulfillment opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
Measure & report on e-commerce KPIs, establishing a short insight-to-action process to quickly adapt and optimize activities
Executes weekly reports and promotional recaps summarizing ISPU & SFS productivity & providing actionable insights
Collaborate with PHO counterparts and vendor partners to develop onsite merchandising strategy and identify performance opportunities
Manage & implement presentation improvements of online product assortment based on strategy
Responsible to action & support onsite product search including ranking of product, sorting rules, null results, search box build-out. Understand customer search behavior and keyword queries to manipulate the products within the search pages to drive conversion
Become immersed in Commerce Cloud merchandising and search capabilities to maximize results, Ratings & Review, Enhanced Content below the fold
Utilize Google Analytics and internal reports to increase product conversion.
Supports SFS hub store productivity, optimizes FSA assignments, identify efficiencies in hub store performance, monitors key metrics for measuring success
Identify sku/store inventory analytics that drive fulfillment efficiencies

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate capabilities with Excel and Word
Proficiency with Google Analytics is required
Experience with Demandware an asset
Exhibit professional initiative and entrepreneurial drive
Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
Above average command of English; proficiency with a variety of writing styles
The ability to use and understand financial and numerical data to make decisions and influence outcomes
Ability to synthesize data, identify trends and recommend viable solutions

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing or equivalent work experience
2+ years of E-Commerce experience
