AHS currently has an opening for a regular full-time Human Resources Advisor - HR Business Partnerships. Location of this position is located in Calgary and will be dependent upon candidate suitability. To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of fostering and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with operational leaders, Human Resource networks, Centres of Expertise and Union representatives. This position requires the ability to prioritize, multitask and be adaptable while working effectively independently and in collaboration with others in a fast paced and progressive environment.
The Human Resources Advisor - HR Business Partnerships is responsible for delivering Human Resources (HR) services to an assigned Alberta Precision Laboratories portfolio. Reporting to the Manager, HR Business Partnerships the successful candidate will provide sound, professional HR expertise to an assigned portfolio of clients by advising, coordinating, coaching and providing strategic direction on a variety of human resource areas including performance management, attendance management, workplace accommodations, labour and employee relations, strategic planning and change management. You will provide awareness, education and learning through presentations, in-services and regular day to day contact with client groups and colleagues to support operational needs. You will participate on projects, committees and initiatives as required.

Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business, Health Care Administration or a related discipline supplemented by a minimum of 2 years in a human resources role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. A combination of experience and education may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
The applicant must have excellent demonstrated interpersonal, judgement, decision-making and coaching skills, supplemented by your solid communication skills. Must be able to build effective working relationships as well as have the ability to influence change with your assigned portfolio leaders. Some travel is required.
CPHR designation, Health Care experience, an understanding of the clinical environment in which health care and/or APL operates as well as experience working in a unionized environment are all assets.
