Primary Role: Hosts assist with many aspects of Lodge life. Their main role is to provide guest services to residents as well as manage reservations for the gym, rec room and dining hall. They may be asked to assist in other areas as needed.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service roles required
  • Restaurant experience a plus
  • FoodSafe Level 1 an asset
  • WHMIS and First Aid Level 1 an asset
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to employment and work/live in a drug and alcohol-free camp environment for up to 4 weeks at a time.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Practice safe work procedures and rectify and/or report any safety hazards immediately
  • Maintain a good knowledge of lodge operations
  • Greet residents, explain lodge rules
  • Provide information to guests and answer questions
  • Answer calls and take reservations
  • Engaging residents to ensure they are comfortable and happy with food and service
  • Responding to complaints and solving them or reporting to Lodge Manager
  • Manage flow of residents in common areas such as the rec room, dining and lunch areas
  • Assist with sanitizing surfaces as needed
  • Assist with re-stocking supplies such as hand sanitizer and tissues as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
