Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall functionality of the project team. The Project Manager will develop, coordinate and manage the overall approach to projects, taking into account the budgetary and physical constraints of the project.

Work Duties

  • Assess the needs of the project.
  • Work with sales team and project/production team to agree on the same vision for the project.
  • Oversee the project
  • Establish the timeframe needed for the chosen duties.
  • Manage the project to fit within the established time frame.
  • Manage time and organize people and space.
  • Attend project meetings with management and production.
  • Purchasing of large scale items for projects
  • Approval of procurement quotes for items sourced by project coordinators
  • Documentation (Review and approval)
  • Manage and maintain the working pace of the project team to ensure deadlines and goals are met.
  • Schedule and conduct project run-throughs and technical reviews.
  • Manage the project teams time and priorities by producing weekly schedules
  • Work closely with the Packaging Services Manager, Production Manager and President to oversee department schedules, quotas and staffing requirements.
  • Monitor and oversee project budgets
  • Track, document and report any major changes to projects that result in budget or schedule variances.
  • Suggest solutions for necessary changes that may be required throughout the life of a project.
  • Create change orders where required
