Our client, BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions, is looking for a proven leader to join their team in the role of Director of Operations. This right candidate will have the ability to become a VP of Operations after 6-12 months.
The Director of Operations partners with various internal and external stakeholders to create and drive supply chain and logistics strategy and initiatives that deliver best in class performance. This position is accountable for building, developing and providing supply chain and logistics organizational capabilities to both internal and external customers, ensuring the optimal flow of physical goods through the various network channels. This role serves as the most critical interface and coordinator between warehouses, purchasing, distribution, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and finance.
As the Director of Operations, you are a leader of people. You will lead the purchasing and warehouse departments and have responsibility for workforce planning and people management. You will cultivate and manage a safety culture within a diverse workforce. You will champion transformational change management, collaborating and influencing key business partners.
This role is based in Edmonton, AB and travel to all seven of BGE’s Western Canada locations will be required. As an integral member of the BGE team, the compensation package for this role is between $150,000 - $200,000. (Relocation Assistance provided if applicable.) The Ideal Candidate
You consider yourself an Operations expert and have a strong background in supply chain. You have demonstrated success in building processes in warehouse operations, inventory management and purchasing. You have experience working at a director level and you demonstrate certainty and initiative in your area of expertise, and you are motivated to achieve results. You have demonstrated success in change management and in building relationships with direct reports in ways that produce increased results. You have a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with different teams, functions and business units across the organization, and deliver on project management accountabilities. You are motivated by the opportunity to be a strategic thinker and to build process improvements, including implementation of distribution, inventory and purchasing systems.
