Position Description:
This position is responsible for developing and validating service-level architecture on Zayo’s network, development of network automation software tools, and integrating service architecture into Zayo’s OSS.

Develop and validate service architecture in support of customer facing services such as ELINE/ELAN, MPLS VPN, SDWAN, DIA, DDoS, Waves, etc
Develop network automation software including service provisioning, service validation, analytics & intelligence
Participate in Architecture projects to virtualize network functions
Take and resolve Architecture tasks in product development efforts
Identify potential problems in the network and design appropriate solutions
Collaborate to create new network configurations, technologies, and best practices
Demonstrate a high level of understanding of the current network configuration and technology to ensure capacity, resiliency, cost-effectiveness, and security of the architecture

Essential Qualifications: (What knowledge, skill and ability or experience are they required to have; some examples are below)

Experience with SDWAN technology and concepts
Experience with scripting and programming languages
Experience with IPv4 & IPv6 routing, Ethernet switching, and QoS mechanisms in a service provider network
Working knowledge of SDN and NFV
Expertise with diagramming network architecture
Ability to work in team environment with minimal direction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications from Juniper, Cisco, Ciena, VMware, and MEF
Experience with hypervisors such as VMWare and KVM
Experience with Versa Networks SDWAN platform
Expertise with Cisco IOS-XR, Juniper JUNOS, Nokia TiMOS, Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Ciena SAOS
Experience with Agile development
