Legend Boats is thrilled to have grown big enough to warrant the introduction of an all new role within the organization! We’re looking for someone to manage the three Business Office Managers at our three retail locations, manage the Whitefish Retail Business Office, as well as to help build Legend Financial, the all new brokerage within Legend Boats aimed at helping our Dealers finance their customers. Exciting times!

Based out of the Head Office in Whitefish, Ontario, this position is for a highly detail-oriented individual who understands financing, sales, systems, and generally, people. We’re not going to lie to you, this will be a very difficult and possibly time consuming career. There are a lot of different aspects to keep track of and good time management is key. However, if this is what you enjoy doing, then you’ll have a blast in this position!

Key Responsibilities

Meeting with every retail customer after they purchase a boat

Taking credit applications and reaching out to multiple financing institutions if necessary to obtain financing

Offering Extended Warranty and Insurances

Collecting payment and ensuring finance deals are funded and cash deals are paid in full before the customer leaves with their boat

Ensuring every retail deal moves through the Sales Process on time

Keeping in contact with all customers to ensure they are aware of their pick-up dates and comfortable with the details of their purchase

Keeping up with every deal in our online system,, and making necessary changes as the customer requests

Ensuring banking paperwork is signed, submitted and correct in order to obtain funding

Keeping up with the current financing programs available at all financing institutions

Building relationships with new financial institutions

Acquiring contracts with Legend Dealers who are interested in financing through Legend Financial

Sometimes there are too many customers, which is awesome! But, it means that you may have to jump in and make a sale every so often

Why You Earn a Large Paycheque

Commission. You are the writer of your own paycheque here. The more you sell, the more you make, though a portion of every deal does go to you for administrative fees.

Long hours. You will be required to work Saturdays and though you will have a schedule to follow, your hours may vary due to your workload and the time of the year

Boat Shows. The longest one being the Toronto International Boat Show (TIBS) in January, generally running 12 days.

Customer Relations. You will need to ensure all customers are comfortable with the purchase process and understand the details of their contracts.

Several Processes. Since you are in charge of so many things, you will have a lot to learn and a great deal to keep track of. There are processes in place to help you along the way, but finding your own rhythm and routines will be key.

Responsibility. You will be one of the main points of contact for all customers, financial institutions, salespeople, managers, Dealers, and Parts & Service Representatives. Knowing each customer and each sale inside and out is also key.

Initiative. Not only will you be busy all the time, you will also be expected to take on other tasks at times. Many of the conferences we attend and meetings we have involve taking big ideas that include lots of work and implementation and making them a reality.
