The production associate supports the company’s efforts to produce product by working with others in manufacturing cells and will have on-the-job training on each of the various tasks that are required.
Read and interpret production drawings, visuals, and documentation.
Read and understand Job documentation including BOM’s (bill of materials).
Visually inspect the assembly to ensure it meets quality standards.
Process wire and cable using equipment, tools, and documentation.
Assemble products using equipment, tools, and documentation.
Tasks could include wire and cable stripping, terminal crimping, assembling connectors, assembling small and medium sized subassemblies and finished goods, labeling, winding cords, running injection moulding machines, testing products, and packing products.
Effectively maintain regular and professional communication with all team members, production supervisor and fellow employees.
Must be very quality conscience and be able to understand documentation.
Must work at the required pieces per hour throughput as specified on documentation and within cells.
Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
Other duties as assigned.
1 year of small part manufacturing experience preferable.
Ability to be trained on all required machines and tools required to fulfil job expectations.
Ability to bend, stoop, stretch and stand all day at an assembly bench.
Ability to take initiative, be solution-oriented coupled with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
Ability to use a variety of hand, air, and electric tools as well as wire strippers, cutters and screwdrivers
Must be very quality conscience and be able to work with minimum supervision.
