The Plant Manager is responsible of all Production Operations and success of high quality products to the highest levels of customer satisfaction, and within short time frames. The ideal candidate has a strong leadership, mentoring, coaching, management experience and is cost effective and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities:
Manage day to day production operations and ensure overall success of the plant.
Guide the plant team to over-achieve in key operations metrics including safety, quality, continuous improvement, efficiency, profitability and customer service.
Ensures industrial performance and quality expectations are met in a timely and cost-effective manner to maximize production.
Provide direction to supervisors and managers on workplace relations, manpower, training, planning and any other related challenges.
Ensure staff adherence to all policies and procedures and manage fair and equitable practices.
Recommend purchase of new equipment and improvements to the plant and maintenance of the plant goods.
Responsible for employees performance evaluations and salary increase reviews.
Manage all corrective action and improvement activities in close collaboration with the Human Ressources department.
Responsible of the monthly plant reports.
Responsible for the plant financial budget; improve profitability by controlling expenses.
Evaluates the plant accounting records; Investigate on any type of unusual expense.
Lead weekly production meetings; set priorities according to all production needs.
Maintain shop floor organization and plant cleanliness at all times to support safety and cleanliness expectations.
Available during off-shifts for phone consultation or to come into the plant when needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, business management or related fiel is an asset
Preferred with 10 years of Production Management experience.
Strong Knowledge in Microsoft Office
Strong knowledge of plastics processing and tooling.
Good communication skills
Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results.
