Fireside Minerals Ltd. is a resource company committed to responsible mining and mineral development focusing on barite.
We are currently seeking individuals for the position of: GENERAL LABOURER. Reporting to the MINE MANAGER.
Responsibilities:
§ Working in the mill when other employees are taking breaks. Must be physically fit and able to pass a respirator fit test. Very Physical Work for 6-12 hours per day
§ Maintaining the camp. Ensuring water is being supplied to all cabins from well. Holding tanks are clean and maintained to code.
§ Ensuring camp is kept in clean condition. Garbage is in bins, recycling cleaned out, etc.
§ Pressure washing heavy equipment and trucks
§ Cleaning of kitchen and camp bathroom.
§ MUST HAVE DRIVERS LICENCE- Class 5 Minimum
§ Driving into town for deliveries of parts and supplies
§ Some operation of Forklift/Loader/Skid Steer once trained.
§ Must be willing to work day and night shift.
§ Must be willing to work 12 hour days
§ Shift Schedule is 24 days on 17 days off
Qualifications:
§ Valid driver’s license
§ Valid First Aid (Minimum Emergency OFA 1)
§ Operating Heavy Equipment an asset
§ Strong interpersonal skills
§ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
§ Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a remote camp situation
§ Welding/electrical/mechanical experience an asset
