To effectively provide administrative support to the Principal of Glendon College, solely responsible for organizing meetings, conference calls, appointments, events and all other matters related to the Principal. In this capacity, the employee organizes and oversees all small-scale events, hosted by the Office of the Principal, as well as assists in the logistical management of all large-scale events also hosted by the Office of the Principal. The position also provides receptionist and secretarial support for the Office of the Principal.
High school graduation with secretarial or administrative training.
Two years related experience in university setting (e.g. Director or Dean's Office) or other relevant experience.
Keyboarding 40-45 w.p.m., accuracy essential. Demonstrated skill/ability in the following areas: word-processing in a Windows environment and strong knowledge of the Internet. working knowledge of electronic mail. Effective oral communication skills to obtain and relay information accurately and concisely both in person and over the telephone. exercising initiative and good judgment, maintaining confidentiality. Working effectively as a member of a team. Dealing courteously and effectively with people. exercising tact and diplomacy. effective organizational and multi-tasking skills. Attention to detail. working independently and setting priorities. Intermediate skills level for Word and Excel. Bilingual Modules I (Advanced), II (Advanced), and IV (Intermediary), required.
