Position Summary:
As a key member of the Supply Chain management team, this position will assist the Director, Supply Chain & Inventory in leading supply chain operations for the Canadian business, inclusive of inventory management, promotional planning, new product introduction, production planning with suppliers, item/vendor maintenance, supplier collaboration, purchasing, network design, strategic sourcing and coordination with distribution centres across the country.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Provide leadership, mentoring & coaching to approximately half of the Supply Chain team ensuring performance oriented
teams are built at all levels within the Supply Chain group
Ensure SC team is focused on cross-functional collaboration with DC Operations, McDonald’s Corporate and Suppliers to ensure alignment and execution of strategic planning initiatives
Partner with key stakeholders to maintain strong and enduring relationships both internally and externally
Continuously improve the supply chain to successfully manage the complexities of our customer’s needs
Create a culture of innovation and process driven to support our customer’s and MB strategic plans
Establish annual goals and objectives in coordination with corporate objectives, managing performance to ensure attainment
Ensure end-to-end product supply is managed to ensure any potential risks are identified and contingency plans are in place
Develop contingency supply strategies, identify risks, potential liabilities, and forecast tolerance to assure supply
Oversee development of program risk assessments, including sensitivity analyses
Manage safety stock settings across entire network through collaboration with DCs
Plan, prioritize and delegate work tasks according to fluctuating deadlines
Collaborate with the inbound freight and logistics function on network design and efficient operations

Oversee functional areas:
Supply Chain Management: promotions management, supplier collaboration (production planning), item/vendor integration, procurement & sourcing (Ops Supplies), customs/government requirements
Inventory: coordinating with the freight function to manage the flow of goods between suppliers and MB DCs in the most efficient and cost effective manner while ensuring DCs are adequately stocked
DC Supply Planning: inventory replenishment for 3-6 DCs in Canada
Other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:
Five (5) years of progressive responsibility and leadership in supply chain or business operation management
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (preference for a supply chain or technical degree)
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills with all levels of employees, management and customer
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business objectives
Supplier relationship management experience, including RFP process and sourcing
High initiative, self-motivation with a strong sense of urgency and leadership qualities including a positive approach to managing and interacting with stakeholders
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to create and tailor communications to a wide variety of audiences
Strong project management skills, proven ability to develop and implement supply chain & logistics solutions
Strong business and financial acumen skills
Demonstrated track record of leading significant process improvements and managing through change
Exposure to distribution, transportation, supply chain & inventory planning
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:
MBA or relevant master's degree
Relevant industry certification (APICS)
Proficiency in ERP systems (JDE, SAP)
Proficiency in forecasting systems (JDA or similar)
Bilingual English /French considered an asset
