Founded in 1980, SCP SCIENCE manufactures automated instruments, analytical equipment, reagents, and certified reference materials for the inorganic analytical chemistry laboratory market.   • Install and train end user on the proper usage of the EasyPREP or Microwave Digestion Instrument;
  • Create and write application notes on the techniques required by the instrumentation;
  • Responsible for improving and developing new digestion methods for in house manufactured sample prep equipment;
  • Support R&D and Production on the functionality of the instrument;
  • Travel to customer location for installation and verification of equipment;
  • After sale support for customer;
  • Testing of equipment for functionality and fit for use;
  • Recommending improvements to increase scope and functionality;
  • Other tasks, as required.

Special requirements:

  • Travel to customer sites in North America or abroad as required;
  • Available for International customers during their regular business day as required.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • BSc in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or a Technologist diploma; an advanced degree in Chemistry would be an asset;
  • Strong technical skills: able to develop, experiment with and present technical concepts; provide customers with hands-on technique for using our products;
  • Understanding of Method Norms
  • Handles customer situation as per Company policies
  • Working knowledge and fundamental understanding of a sample equipment, like graphite block digesters, steam distillation and microwave equipment;
  • Organized, enthusiastic, and able to prioritize and deliver results;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare and write technical papers for presentation purposes;
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Member of the Ordre des chimistes du Quebec
