HOURS: Currently Days, 8 hours

(Subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

QUALIFICATIONS:
College diploma required; degree in health related field preferred
Expert knowledge of MS Office tools: Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word required
Minimum of 1yr working experience with data entry required; previous experience in a hospital environment an asset
Typing speed and accuracy
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work with complex data in Excel tables
Advanced skills in analysis/organization of project related tasks
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a diverse team
Ability to problem solve and work independently
Understanding of Meditech system
Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills in day to day work
Excellent attendance and work record
Ability to work and travel between all hospital sites

JOB SUMMARY:
Providing support, within the CMC, with regards to all data, including the following duties:

Data entry clerk to update and maintain information on our hospital database and computer systems
Entering data in databases and maintaining accurate records of critical and confidential patient information
Inputting patient account data from source documents within time limits
Responsible for maintaining accurate, up to date and usable information in our systems
Compiling, verifying accuracy and sorting information to prepare source data for computer entry
Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output
Research and obtain information for incomplete documents
Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations
Scan documents and print files when needed
Provide concise, accurate, comparative data required for quarterly reports
Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
Comply with data confidentiality, integrity and security policies
Familiarity with spreadsheets and online forms
Identifies areas for data quality improvement and helps to resolve data quality problems.
Develop and assist with the implementation of policies and standards for data collection
Problem solving: knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating and resolving operational or process problems.
Interpersonal relationships: knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Oral communications: ability to express oneself and communicate with others verbally, demonstrates command of language and clarity of thought.
Other duties as assigned.
