Conduct duties of Project Compliance Coordinator 1.
Maintains transparent working relationship with regulatory agencies and addresses critical gaps affecting performance of project compliance including involvement in working/task groups for implementation of new processes and/or technology for applications. Identifies and reviews non-compliance and emergency incidents and support reporting process.
Provides guideance to Project Compliance Coordinator 1’s, Engineers of Record, technologists and drafters in the Engineering Group and project managers in PMO with interpretations to legislation, regulations, act or other documentation from regulatory agencies that may impact project execution. Prepares and presents information to other FortisBC departments on the technical regulatory process.
Reviews and modifies as required FortisBC application package processes, standards and templates in order to ensure consistent successful applications or notices to regulatory agencies.
Maintains performance dashboards related to the execution of post incident reporting, capital projects and submission of applications and notices to the regulatory agencies. Monitors the progress of reports, applications or notices submitted for timely approvals. Reviews rejections of submissions of application for trends.
Prepares and maintains a series of master schedules for all capital projects in the Engineering Group; updates schedules in a timely manner, communicates project planning and scheduling status reports with key stakeholders. Prepares workload reports on engineering functions to assist in balancing resources, determining project health and critical path schedules, and evaluating team metrics; and
Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties which do not affect the rating of the job. Requirements
High school graduation and completion of a recognized post-secondary certificate of technology, or certificate in a business related field, or equivalent.
Two (2) years working experience in a Project Compliance role, or similar, including interaction with government agencies on application processes.
Two (2) years directly related relevant work experience with gas asset design, and at least one (1) year working with a regulator and experience with project management.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work with drafters for drawing revisions in order to submit applications or notices to the regulators.
Demonstrated ability to interpret government legislation, regulations and acts
Demonstrated ability to provide direction in a team environment
Demonstrated knowledge of natural gas utilization and construction practices
Demonstrated strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure during peak workload periods in order to meet tight deadlines
Demonstrated excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to respond to difficult or demanding situations with tact and diplomacy
Demonstrated courteous, professional manner in dealing with internal and external contacts and customers, including positive interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated sound working knowledge of the MS Office suite of applications.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Demonstrated sound analytical and decision making skills.
Demonstrated ability to follow established procedures with attention to detail. Additional Information
