About this role:
The Director Wealth will report to the VP & Head of Wealth and is accountable for the achievement of Wealth growth objectives and strategies to support this growth. The position will achieve this through disciplined sales management coaching of the wealth sales leadership team and through the development and execution of key wealth strategies including: segmentation, retention, referral and niche strategies. Collaborative, strong partnerships with key business channels including Retail, Business Banking and OneCap will be critical as is the ability to partner with various teams within the organization to get things done, including Marketing, Communications, Digital, Legal and HR, etc.
What you’ll do:
Coach and mentor a team of Wealth Regional Sales Managers and Investment Coaches to achieve/surpass growth and revenue targets
Develop and implement various strategies to support growth objectives including - referral, reward & recognition , retention, segmentation, niche, strategies
Develop strong relationships with key business partners including Retail, Business Banking, One cap and develop/support referral strategies with each LOB
Annually assess Advisor compensation program against strategy, business plan and market competitiveness
Work with wealth analyst to develop insightful, transparent and concise performance measurement reporting against KPIs
Lead business development opportunities through sponsorships, partnerships and affinity marketing
Be a passionate advocate for Wealth and build internal and external awareness
Analyze data and trends and work with marketing team to develop targeted programs
Recommend/Implement various sales and support programs to support the field
Lead monthly sales leadership meetings including the annual Wealth Advisor offsite
Develop a deep understanding of Meridian’s current Member base and market opportunities in order to create a segmented approach with differentiated value propositions for each segment and a clear understanding of profitability.
Ensure partner alignment across the Delivery channels, through the collaboration of subject matter experts from the various lines of businesses
Effectively collaborate across the organization to get things done.

Superior and proven sales management experience in leading in leading high performance teams
Proven strategic thinker with the ability to create implementation plans with partners and strong follow through/ execution
Ability to work with a very fast paced environment with multiple, changing priorities
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Strong impact and influencing capabilities with a collaborative style
Business savvy – continuously acquiring the knowledge needed to do one’s job to the fullest
Regular travel throughout the province
Undergraduate degree with wealth accreditation (PFP, CFP or other industry accreditation)
