Kigep Management (CLAS/KCSP/EIS) is currently seeking an individual to fill our Full Time/Temporary (18 months) Sr. Human Resources Administrator contract.

About Human Resources

Human Resources Overview: Human Resources will serve the Agency as a strategic partner providing a full range of duties within human resources management services, including but not limited to; leadership and guidance in the development, implementation and justifiable administration of policies and procedures, fostering a positive work environment, employee empowerment and involvement, sustainability, teamwork, continuous improvement, compliance with Federal, Province and local laws pertaining to employment standards and human rights, and exceptional customer services. Human Resources will manage these activities in an effective, fair, legal and consistent manner.

Position Summary: The Senior Human Resources Administrator position assists the Human Resources Director, in directing all Human Resources activities for the Agency by: compiling, maintaining and processing information relating to recruitment, orientation, benefits, safety, labour relations, performance evaluations and classifications. To work towards the common goals of the department with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Maintain attention to detail and adherence to policies and procedures set forth by Kigep Management Ltd. (CLAS/EIS/KCSP).

You will bring: We are look for a human resources generalist who is a self-starter possessing the ability to prioritize, organize, effectively communicate, have an eye for detail, are able to multi task, and meet deadlines. You will work well in both a team based environment as well as individually with little supervision. You will be highly proficient working within a Windows software environment (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) along with a high comfort for learning/using a custom designed Human Resources Management system. You will have strong interpersonal and decision making/judgment skills and are not afraid to handle or confront difficult situations. You should have at least 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources role. Preference will be given to those candidates that have a background in recruitment, disability management, and have a Human Resources Certificate. You will maintain a high level of customer service internal or external to the agency and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30 am to 4:30pm

General responsibilities:

  • Oversee and administer WCB and disability claims for all subsidiaries which includes all the administration of claims and working along side WCB, third parties, insurance, employees and management
  • Administer long term protected leaves of absences (i.e. maternity leave, paternity leave etc.) for all subsidiaries, including tracking and communications with the employees, managers and payroll/benefits department
  • Participate in the recruitment process for all Calgary front line and sub contractor positions; includes drafting employment contracts
  • Participate in the orientation process for all Calgary front line positions
  • Update HR reports monthly on recruitment & disability
  • Communicate all Calgary new hire details (i.e. front line positions) to Payroll & Benefits and new sub contractor details to accounting
  • Act as the Administrator of the Emergency Response Core Team when needed
  • Update and maintain Desktop Manual
  • Work with HR Team on year end responsibilities such as archiving terminated files, closed WCB and or Disability files
  • Cross trained in other areas of HR to back fill for holidays or unexpected absences
  • Assists reporting manager with Department Action Plan items
  • Faxing
  • Prepare, input, edit and proofread correspondence, invoices, presentations, brochures, publications, reports and related material
  • Participate as a member of the Human Resources Committee
  • Other projects and or tasks as assigned by Manager

Requirements:

  • A current Criminal Records Check will need to be completed.
  • First Aid & CPR certified a definite asset.
  • Will be required to take our Suicide Prevention Course.

  • Salary Range: $50, 000.00 to $52, 000.00. Starting wage will be based on skill and experience
