Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain cost control, quality and schedule for the work site during construction by:
Effectively managing job site workforce, equipment, materials and trade contractors to attain targeted profit margin while ensuring adherence to specifications and plans.
Working closely with Project Manager, Trade Contractors, Consultants, Inspectors, and Regulatory Agencies to prepare and execute project plans and specifications and ensure the quality of work.
Developing schedules and construction sequencing in conjunction with Project Managers.
Mentoring, coaching and supervising field personnel
Directing subcontractor coordination and progress
Promoting safe work practices
Timely scheduling, coordination and effective cost control, as they pertain to labor, equipment and materials on the project
Ensuring compliance with the client and company's procedures
Project exposure to jobs $10M-200M
Minimum 10+ years’ experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
Knowledge of local B.C. market
Experience in supervising and organizing mid-large crew sizes
Familiarity with various Microsoft Office application (Project specifically)
Combination of work experience in a similar role and industry related trade certification / education.
Solid understanding of modern construction practices.
Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule.
A strong attention to detail, proven problem resolution skills and superior interpersonal skills are also required for this position.

Must have a thorough understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation
Must have previous project site experience with a proven safety record
