Western Tractor Company Inc. is currently looking for a full time Service Administrator to join our growing company at our Taber location.

Reporting to the Taber Service Manager, this person will be responsible for maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records for the service department's operation within the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department.
  • Assists customers on basic inquiries.
  • Technical and John Deere Experience an asset.
  • Service Advisor and Parts Advisor Experience an asset.
  • Opens, maintains, previews and closes work orders promptly.
  • Contacts customers prior to invoicing work orders.
  • Receives payments from customers.
  • Calls customers on outstanding invoices for payment.
  • Assists to coordinate and schedule technician training.
  • Prepares and submits payroll for service department as per schedule.
  • Maintains vehicle sign out, and tech in-out board.
  • Maintains service department filing and records.
  • Maintain service department’s supplies and places orders as required.
  • Updates customer profiles using hours, equipment or other information from work orders.
  • Assists the Service Manager in contacting customers prior to warranty expiration.
  • Back up for main receptionist.
  • Supports customer clinics, field days and related promotional events.
  • Assists the Service Manager in maintaining a healthy safe environment.
  • Advises Service Manager of any customer concerns.
  • Works overtime and weekends as needed or per schedule.
  • Builds and promotes a strong “Team and One Enterprise” approach to all employees.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
