POSITIONS SUMMARY – Procurement Sourcing Specialist

Exterran Water Solutions has an immediate opening for a Procurement Sourcing Specialist with experience in sourcing, buying and materials management in Oil & Gas industry; preferably in sourcing of valves / instruments / skids / vessels. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Procurement Sourcing Specialist is responsible for vendor identification, vendor and contract negotiations, preparation of proposals (RFQs), technical bid evaluations and managing all procurement activities associated with EWS projects. The Procurement Specialist will ensure that the deliverables provided to the project are according to specifications, within scope, and in compliance with quality procedures and project plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Vendor sourcing, prequalification, vendor management  Preparation of Material Requisitions and RFQ documents  Prepare Technical and Commercial Bid Evaluations recommend awards  Prepare purchase orders and contracts  Negotiate favourable Terms and Conditions with vendors in conjunction with purchasing policies  Expedite as required for project schedules  Coordinate scheduling of material inspections by Exterran Quality or TPI as required by project Inspection Test Plans  Receiving and Inventory Management  Arrange Transportation and logistics  Validate vendor invoicing  Work with Project Managers to ensure project objectives of quality, cost and schedule are met

Adept at writing proposals and scopes of work  Excellent contract / negotiation skills  Excellent analytical skills  Excellent writing and communications skills; able to represent the company in Supplier meetings  Proficient with MS Office software and various engineering software programs  Collaboration with project team to determine and achieve project objectives  Well versed with P&IDs and PFDs

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE - SKILLS
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in EPC and Oil & Gas Environment  Accreditation/certification (SCMP) with PMAC an asset  Produced Water Experience an asset  A strong and broad knowledge of Supply Management and Contracts
