Dilworth Homes is one of the Okanagan’s most trusted names for new home construction, building Award Winning Residences for over 30 years. We are currently expanding our commercial and rental property portfolio while maintaining our new home construction activities. As a result we require some additional expertise.

Project Coordinator - Intermediate Estimator:

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Residential Coordinator and Estimator to join our team in Kelowna, BC. You will perform a wide range of duties in this role and have a great deal of customer, trade, supplier and superintendent interaction. Some commercial estimating experience would be a benefit.

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience but the range is $65 – $85 K / year. This hire is important for us as within 5 years we will require this person to be our senior coordinator - estimator.

The Project Co-ordinator reports to the Construction Manager and is responsible for the project's financial performance based on their initial estimate. The Coordinators role includes forecasting, purchasing and expediting trades and suppliers to meet agreed construction budgets and schedules. Subtrade and supplier scopes must be current to meet site requirements, and final contract values must be competitive in the marketplace.


  • A Civil or Architectural Technologist or Project Management diploma/certificate is preferred, but other training / experience combinations will be considered
  • Formal Supply Chain experience and training (APICS) is an asset.
  • 5+ years' experience in residential coordinating, estimating and construction.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills
  • Good computer skills including MS Office with emphasis on Excel
  • Experience with “Co- Construct”, "Builder Trend" or similar software is an asset


Reporting to the Construction Manager you will:

  • Manage project financial performance based on an accepted contract
  • Work with Sales Group to Estimate project costs and provide customer estimates
  • Coordinate initial team meeting with Customer, Sales and Project Superintendent
  • Incorporate project schedule into Co-construct
  • Purchase materials and equipment
  • Provide support on the project detail to the superintendent
  • Communicate with Customer, Estimate changes, Distribute CO’s, Assign PO’s
  • Ensure invoices are delivered and payables received
  • Review final reports - to ensure accuracy and make adjustments where necessary
  • Review the project at completion with Construction Manager and Superintendent to discuss successes and challenges
  • Maintain good relationship with suppliers, follow trends, materials and products
  • Identify potential business or profit opportunities through the sell / build process

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 /year

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (Preferred)
