The Executive Associate is responsible for providing senior administrative management services to the Senior Director, their portfolio and Alberta Health Services and reports directly to the Senior Director. The Executive Associate manages and coordinates issues and leads administrative activities affecting the portfolio and organization, allowing the Senior Director to focus on strategic leadership and organizational matters. This position will build consistency and continuity within the portfolio, between portfolios and organizationally, while providing background and strategic advice to the Senior Director on issues related to administrative management, policies and organizational matters. The Executive Associate – Connect Care Associate will provide services in office management, all reporting including board reporting, issues management, strategic planning, portfolio support, committee support, project management, stakeholder and community liaison and executive support services to build the strength and effectiveness of the Senior Director and portfolio. All Non-Union Exempt positions are being reviewed for possible inclusion in the AUPE General Support Services bargaining unit. Strategic Planning and Reporting: set and create the planning timelines and guidelines based on AHS and portfolio priorities, and responsible for the documentation and implementation of all associated tasks in concert with the Senior Director responsibilities. Issues Management: responsible for the effective administration, coordination and management of information and issues for the Office of the Senior Director, their portfolio and Alberta Health Services. Responsible to manage the financial request to the Connect Care Office and the Office portfolio. Executive/Portfolio/Communication Support: responsible for the administration, coordination and management of portfolio policy, programs and processes. Advice, counsel, recommendations and perspectives including full communication support in regards to all presentations, business documents and technical perspectives must be provided in a timely and relevant manner. Reporting: weekly, monthly, budgets and board reports Committee Support. Responsible for the administration, coordination and management of portfolio and Alberta Health Services Committees. The position will provide strategic advice on behalf of the Office of the Senior Director as well as administrative advice and services to various departmental, portfolio and AHS committees. Communications & Liaison Support: acts as the communications link within the portfolio, organization and with outside parties. Assumes the role as liaison within the portfolio, across AHS and to outside bodies to ensure the Office of the Senior Director, the portfolio and AHS is represented appropriately and ensures appropriate movement or transfer of information. Financial Management: plans, determines, monitors and manages assigned budgets. People Resource Management.

Master’s Degree in business/communications and/or business/communications related field. Business Analyst with high degree of communication proficiency. Ten (10) years board Reporting experience a must.
