Good2GoCo Inc. is a rapidly growing Canadian owned and operated ecommerce company, specializing in emergency preparedness, outdoor living gear (camping, backpacking, hunting, backyard campfires) as well as homestead and off-grid products. Our head office is located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. We are looking for a full time Logistics Coordinator.
Reporting to the Manager of Purchasing and Logistics, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all incoming and outgoing freight across North America, both LTL and FTL shipments as well as expanding to overseas freight.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
The Logistic Coordinator will be responsible for all freight in and out of Good2GoCo Inc and the group of companies under M&J Group.
- Brokering incoming and outgoing freight for suppliers and customers within Canada, to and from the US as well as overseas freight
- Negotiate rates, freight, and dispatching. Escalate quotes outside of normal parameters to manager.
- Performing both local and long dispatching in various lanes across North America
- Submit and maintain all required customs and brokerage documentation
- Manage all inbound and outbound activities, tracking packages to confirm arrival date.
- Communicate with Warehouse Manger to verify arrival dates for truckloads.
- Analyzing load information in order to determine and verify appropriate lanes and truck loads.
- Perform warehouse and document audits to ensure compliance and operational functioning
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of freight brokerage experience
- Minimum 3 years dispatching experience
- I year experience with LTL and FTL freight
- Knowledge of truck transportation industry as well as knowledge and skills in brokering truckloads, negotiating rates, scheduling pick ups and deliveries and tracking shipments
Skills & Abilities
- Strong negotiating skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with carriers and brokers
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to prepare and present reports suitable for discussion with logistics manager
- Team player – work effectively with internal team members
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with Oracle NetSuite and 3PL Central an asset.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Effective conflict resolution skills.
