The Compliance & Regulatory Data Specialist is responsible for regulatory data reporting and company-wide adherence to provincial post-secondary education legislations. Compliance with the Private Career Colleges Act in Ontario and provincial frameworks for Designated Learning Institutions (hosting international students) are key areas of oversight. Additionally, the Specialist will be charged with preparing data for all regulatory reporting with a main focus on provincial Annual Reports, quality assurance submissions, and IRCC requests. Finally, the Specialist is also responsible for auditing all student files for compliance measures on a term-by-term basis, and vetting all marketing collateral for the company prior to public consumption.


  • Ensure compliance with post-secondary education legislation
  • Vetting of all marketing collateral for regulatory compliance
  • IRCC / ISP compliance, reporting, and verification of admissions letters
  • Regulatory reporting data
  • Annual reporting metrics
  • Regulatory aspects of Student End of Course Surveys
  • Other duties as assigned


A. Education and Experience

  • Successfully earned university degree
  • 3-4 years’ experience with compliance functions in one or more of the following environments: post-secondary administration, non-profit organization, regulatory compliance, or a legal or corporate environment
  • Relevant and demonstrated experience in both data-mining and data presentation
  • Experience with audit functions
  • Experience with records management
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working with one or more the following areas would be a definite asset: compliance with education legislation, quality assurance programs, or academic governance

  • Research skills via online databases, publications, company websites, and other methods as necessary
