Our company is searching for a number of reliable Special Kitchen Suppression Systems Technicians responsible for the complete and accurate inspection, testing and repair of various fire suppression systems & equipment on-site at customer locations. In this field, we need strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, as well as an understanding of NFPA and BC Fire Code. The successful candidates for this position needs to be able to adjust to last minute changes and work with other team members.


  • Responsible for the complete and accurate inspection, testing and repair of various fire suppression systems & equipment on-site at customer locations
  • Perform inspection procedures and installation requirements with knowledge of parts and their source including Manufacturers inspection and test requirements, adhering to the ASTTBC regulations, BC Fire Code and Municipality guidelines
  • Fulfill on-call repairs as required
  • Complete and submit all required test report or electronic submissions daily
  • Self-starters who are able to take initiative
  • Demonstration of attention to detail
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada


  • 1-2 years experience of installation requirements, parts and their sources, inspection procedures as well Manufacturers Inspection and Test requirements of special fire suppression systems
  • Inspect Operating and Maintenance instructions
  • Inspect valves, controls, extinguishing agent containers, discharge outlets including piping, equipment and hazard for which the Fire Suppression Systems is designed
  • Hold ASTTBC certification
  • Valid BC Driver’s License; excellent driving record & clean driver’s abstract provided.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations
  • Proficient in English (written and oral communication) skills are essential
