About This Opportunity
Amherst Chronic Pain Service is seeking a family physician to join their interdisciplinary team consisting of a family physician, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and mental health social worker. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside allied health professionals to improve medical management of the chronic pain population.
The team runs its service one day a week at Mental Health & Addiction Services located at 33 Havelock Street, Amherst. The team is also supported by a coordinator who is shared with three other chronic pain service centres in Truro, New Glasgow, and Antigonish. The team offers an outpatient consultation service that provides team interdisciplinary assessments and follow-ups, and facilitates pain self-management programs.

all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
