The Manager Global Strategic Sourcing’s (GSS) Regional Euraf`s role is fundamental to CAE’s GSS organization and has managerial responsibilities, a solution-oriented mindset and responsible for connecting people both horizontally and vertically across the organization.
As a Manager GSS Regional Euraf, you will be responsible for:
Implementing global and local procurement strategies in the Euraf region by building a network across all the training centres.
Facilitating all operational supplier issues between key internal clients (E.g. Training Centers) and the CAE GSS departments (Data, Parts & Equipment, Core, Indirect and the associated purchasing functions). The Manager will work closely with our internal customers to define and drive procurement strategies to reduce cost YOY while ensuring perfect execution and risks mitigation. In addition, the Manager shall also be the point of escalation for business channels and ensure any supplier challenges (support of KPIs such as on-time delivery or adherence to scope of work targets) are in line with the customers expectations. The manager will lead a team of Procurement business partners positioned globally.
The Manager will be actively engaged in cross functional business process improvement / continuous improvement initiatives and liaises with the project teams to clearly communicate sourcing constraints, supply risks & mitigation strategies as they relate to the project.
The Manager is also solution mindset oriented and will develop tools & processes to ensure flawless execution. The manager will be responsible to address spend with the businesses that is not currently under the management of GSS.
Establish and put in place SLA (Service Level Agreement) with customers and suppliers.
Understand business needs & strategies and do the liaison between the business segments and the appropriate GSS teams.
Provide compelling category and sourcing insights to the business to leverage the global buy and category strategies.
Participates in the Training Center’s operational meetings/internal customer meetings acting as the GSS representative on all supplier concerns.
Lead and/or organize kick off events with implementation teams and coordinate follow up activities with suppliers and Business participants.
Confirm that the supplier issue is well documented and if this requires an amendment to the contract, the PBP gathers all necessary requirements and shares findings with CVMs.
Lead and define a governance around Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) on top issues.
Lead global RFPs.
Lead strategic negotiations.
Drive productivity improvement across the organization.
Establish long term Category strategy.
Deliver above target annual savings.
Drive increase in payment terms among suppliers.
Relentlessly challenge the status quo.
Drive monthly governance with head of Finance and executive team.
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Management, Engineering, Operations or other applicable discipline required.
Minimum 10 years sourcing, purchasing and/or material management, technical/manufacturing experience and/or or equivalent experience required.
Oracle, SAP, S2P experience preferred.
Required proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Multi-lingual desired; Proficient in English and French required.
Must be exceptional relationship builder and stakeholder manager and have the ability to form and grow own networks. Proven ability to analyze and present findings in a clear and cohesive manner.
Capable of navigating through ambiguous situations.
Ability to work collaboratively and support multiple initiatives.
Ability to develop processes and/or to identify continuous improvements to help better coordinate activities.
Must have a project management mindset for flawless execution.
Must have exceptional problem solving, strategic and analytical capability.
Demonstrate an open-minded genuine curiosity towards understanding the needs of business and the impact of applied solutions.
