We are currently looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our Massif du Sud Wind Farm team. The successful candidate will provide technical support as required for onsite SCADA systems, BOP facilities and turbine major component issues, and will assist in management/supervising of day to day activities of all staff and contractors working.
What you will do:
Conduct and document Site Orientations, supervising contractors in the field as necessary, interacting with service providers and engaging with landowners as required
Assist the Plant Manager with outages, and emergency on call services; take on call and cover site when Plant Manager is not available
Coordinate, supervise contractors in response to outages scheduled and unscheduled; facilitate contractor engagements ensuring all appropriate information is processed (legal review, CAS, ISN) and filed accordingly
Perform turbine service quality and major component detailed assessments as required; perform equipment diagnosis, investigations, major failure reviews
Create or maintain daily, weekly, monthly or event reports related to safety, and component integrity, including: hazards, near misses, property damage, component failures and medical aid; contractor management; daily/weekly production; major component failures
Assist in implementing Maintenance Management system data input, ensuring daily/monthly/bi-annual/annual information is gathered and completed, updates are maintained, and repair and maintenance advisories are followed up and completed as required (possibly MAXIMO)
Conduct field safety observations
Inspect & oversee installation of parts during service and maintenance of wind turbines to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards and in accordance with OEM technical documentation, as required
Additional duties and tasks may be assigned by the Plant Manager, as required, in support of the facility or business unit
Who you are:
You have the following education and experience:
Technical trade education or certification and/or wind turbine and power plant experience preferred; education or experience working with electrical systems a strong plus
Prior wind generation plant operations experience a strong plus
Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems as it relates to the onsite SCADA, Substation, collection systems and meteorological towers
Ability to perform detailed inspections of blades, main bearings and gearboxes utilizing advanced tools such as borescopes and high power cameras a strong plus (Ideal candidate will have min 3 years of relevant work experience)
Unwavering commitment to supporting a safe, incident-free work environment
Excellent and proven verbal and written communication skills, inter-personal skills and computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) and Oracle Financial programs
Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
